Clothes Experiment

Stripes are very in right now. And I being the fashionable one already have a striped shirt for the season....AND then I shrunk it. Damn it!

And now I have no money to git me some more trendiness.
So I took matters into my own hands and created my own striped awesomeness.
I had some clear tape that attached very well to an old v neck undershirt.
When I ripped off the pieces the edges were very clean.
And some leftover black fabric paint from another project.
Now I know it looks a little funky but I'm touching it up and adjusting a few things.
I'll post pictures of the finished product when I wear it.

AhhhhChoooo

I called in sick today. This cold just refuses to go away and I needed a day to just rest and fight it. But I did not want to be totally unproductive either.

I've had this big bag of leftover tool pieces and I could never think of how to use them. Then I found this easy no-sew tutorial from a lovely site, Treasures for Tots. My tutu looks a little scraggly because they were not even sized scraps but it was super easy to make. I'm going to add it to the rainy day costume box in my classroom.

My kitty Murphy letting me use her at as a model. She wasn't really happy about it.

Creative Juices A Flowin

Ew...
But Im on a roll here!

I saw this project a while ago and decided to try it with some extra fabric I cut from a banana republic dress I turned into a shirt. http://www.pickles.no/summer-braid-scarf

It was so easy I did it while on the phone with my friend Tif. My necks a little sore from holding the phone with my shoulder but it was worth it.

Now I'll look stylish for my kiddies.
